Neil is the retired Chairman of KPMG in Bermuda.
Neil was a Partner with KPMG from1997 to 2020 and has 28 years of experience in the Bermuda financial services industry. He has significant experience with US capital markets, SEC accounting and reporting rules and PCAOB regulations. He served as engagement partner and quality control reviewing partner with several of the firm’s largest public insurance, reinsurance and banking clients.
Neil also has significant experience with Bermuda -based banking institutions, investment companies, hedge funds, private equity funds and structured investment vehicles. He has worked with a large number of investment fund clients covering a broad range of investment strategies and styles.
He is the past Chairman of the KPMG Islands Group and was also the Risk Management Partner for KPMG in Bermuda for over 20 years.
Neil also had responsibility for dealing with the Firm’s regulators, including the PCAOB in the US, the FRC in the UK, and the BPAB in Bermuda.
Outside of work he is married to Jillian and is the father of three boys. He supports Arsenal Football Club and enjoys golf, fishing and travel.
Neil is a co-founder of Ignite Bermuda, the island's first privately funded accelerator for start up businesses and he is a Vice President of the Bermuda Zoological Society which provides fund raising support for the education, research and conservation programs at the Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo.
